WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP BUILD THE GARDEN!
BOARD MEMBERS & VOLUNTEERS: We are in the process of expanding our board and growing our volunteer base. Our primary project and the focus of our fund raising efforts is designing, developing and building the Novato Community Garden at the Lieb property on 1521 Hill Road in Novato, California. We are in need of the following skills/experience:
If volunteering on the board or for other positions interests you, please email Tina McMillan at [email protected] or call 415-342-5922, David Selzer, NLWN President. VOLUNTEER LABOR NEEDED: Both skilled and unskilled. We are looking for carpenters, ditch diggers, wheelbarrow drivers, weed extractors, gardeners, and a "hospitality crew" (to coordinate food and drink and rest for the working volunteers). VOLUNTEER PROJECT COORDINATORS: We are looking for individuals or service organizations with construction project and management experience to act as project coordinators for the specific construction elements listed below. WHAT NEEDS TO BE CONSTRUCTED: Fencing, Irrigation System, Planter Boxes and Benches, Walking Paths, Landscaping. WHEN: Dates, time and details to come.
